What is a time management skill? A skill that when applied properly will allow you or your employes to complete routine task or large projects quickely.

Applying time management skills will help keep you or your business much more efficent and being more efficent makes each project much more profitable and that ads to your bottom line.

One very effective time management skill is motivation. Have you ever noticed that when you have plans to do some activity tou really enjoy , you can get up much earlier and think nothing about it.

Every thinh related to prepare to make this activity possible is less stressful , even enjoyable.

This is true because we are not thinking about how much we dilsike some of the task that must be preformed because we are motivated by the reward we will receive when these task are completed.

Now if we can apply this type of motivation  to other task that we have to do , then we have applied a time management skill.

Let me apply it to an example. Ok, you have have been assigned a project at work and you must complete it in a 40 hour time frame. This is a project that you dislike and this will make the project much more time consuming.

Now  we will say, for this example , you will work on this alone. First thing to do is get out some paper and a calendar.

Make a list of every task that must be accomplished to complete your project, before you plan time for each task there is something you need to do.Think about an activity you really enjoy doing, for this example we will use golf.Lets now apply the motivation time management skill.

Take out your calendar and decide how much time you want to play golf this week, be realistic now you need some tine to work. mark on your calendar the day or days you have chosen .

Now that you have allotted the days and time you want to do the thing you enjoy, get your list of task for the project and schedule time for each task around the time and days you have your golfing .

when you start your project you will enjoy the time spent working on each task because you will have a reward to look froward to as each task is began. Always break bigger projects down into  individual task that must be completed to accomplish the total project.

This also helps to make a project easier as it doesn’t seem bigger than the each individual task,but when each is completed the larger total project is completed .

you have learned how to apply a time management skill, it really works , so try it on your next big project eather at work or something you need to accomplish at home.

I do this with my project of writing articles for my blogs and directories. I plan what i really enjoy doing then p plan my writing and other task around my enjoyment schedule.
