Planning Your Business – What Do You really Want Your Business To Provide For You

 

When you decide to start a new business, no matter what the motivating factors were. You had plans of being successful and creating a profitable business.

One always sincerely hopes to succeed and provide a better life style for their loved ones and creating the perfect life style we dream of.

The question is , what is your perfect life style. Most when asked can only answer in very vague terms of their vision of the perfect life style. Just saying you want to be successful and have lots of money is not a goal the mind can comprehend, what is a lot of money.

When asked, most can quickly tell you what their perfect life style does not consist of so maybe you need to figure out what you don’t want first. Then you may have a better understanding of what your perfect life style is.

Before you can build a profitable business you must know what you expect from it. Imagine building a house and not having any plans or an idea of what you wanted it to look like. How do you think it would turn out? Probably nothing you would want to live in, I couldn’t even imagine what it would be like.

So how can you expect to build a business that will provide the perfect life style you want when you don’t really know what the perfect life style is?

So you can see why, before you start to plan your business you must decide what you want it to provide for you.

Now take some time and write out what your perfect life style is and what your business must provide for you to achieve it, Remember money is not a goal but a tool to achieve the goal.

The perfect life style would probably be one in which you have complete control of your life, how and where you live and how much time you have to do the things you enjoy doing.

To achieve this you must design a business that can continue to grow and be profitable whether you are working in it and not on it. not there to manage it. A successful business is one that works for you, not one you work for.

And if you do not have it planned to achieve this it will eventually eat up every amount of time you have requiring you to spend every moment of time working in it rather than on it.

When you first plan out your business you must determine what needs to be done and each job that will be required to complete what needs to be done.

You must decide who is going to do each job and who will be responsible for seeing that each job gets done. The responsible person can’t be you or you will not have your freedom.

You may be the only one doing things at first but you should have a plan in place to change this as soon as possible. When your plan is complete and all positions are filled by other names you will have achieved your perfect life style, free to live as you choose.
